Anders Behring Breivik Is Not Christian
It was quite contrasting, what I discovered. While Western news outlets such as CNN, Sun News Network, CBC, BBC, Russia Today, etc. were going on and on about how this was likely an attack by Al Qaeda, the local Norwegian papers had already identified Anders Behring Breivik as the shooter and that there were possibly others in the West Norway nationalist group he was a member of who were responsible. Then I checked out conspiracy sites such as infowars.com to see if they had anything relevant to quack about. The main theme seemed to be the idea that Mr. Breivik was a freemason. I rolled my eyes at the typical quackery and went to bed.
Today I got up, and the tune in the West had changed. Overnight, Breivik has seemingly been recreated as a "right wing Christian fundamentalist who is attempting to set up his own Tea Party movement." This is the epitome as to why I disregard mainstream media. Look, there are two different Facebook accounts floating out. The one I've determined as fake states that he is Christian and has an interest in freemasonry. If you know anything about freemasonry you already know that there are no Christian freemasons, so something has to give. It's this dubious profile the the mainstream media is citing. The real profile of course, and there are images of it in google cache, makes no mention of christian or freemasonry. Breivik's supposed 1500 page manifesto actually says he has no religious affiliation or beliefs of the sort.
I'm not claiming conspiracy theory, I'm just illustrating the joke of supposed journalism many media outlets claim to do.
It is curious though, how one person could plant bombs that go off while he's simultaneously killing 90+ children 15 miles away. He doesn't even have any military or police training and according to witnesses at Utøya calmly shot single bullets at them - he was not rapidly shooting like a maniac. Not even school shooters, such as the lads that shot up Columbine, were that effective. He did spare kids too, such as a 10 year old boy who pleaded for his life, how does that figure in?

Scoring Points With Your Girlfriend
I generally use "scoring points" simply for the sports analogy. It doesn't mean you're faking it and putting on a show, it means you give your best as you would in sports. That's right, be as passionate about your woman as you are about your favourite sports team.
This idea is intended for use with girlfriends/boyfriends but can be also used for those who are courting significant others as well.
Game Plan
Rent, buy, or stream, "Mom at Sixteen." (2005) It stars Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies, Friday the 13th 2009, Summerland), Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal, 30 Rock), and Colin Ferguson (Lake Placid 3, Eureka). The plot is in the title, a teen obviously get's pregnant. This is a chick flick yes, and you get you see the two ladies I mentioned above throughout the movie so don't whine and complain.
The Scene
If possible, create a warm and gentle environment in which to view the movie. Think soft blankets, pillows, a possible fireplace and a box of Kleenex. You can also make her a cup of herbal tea. If you have no fireplace, or all the other suggestions, that's okay - she still has you. Be prepared to hold her when she needs you and give her space when the story hits home. The movie itself is not nearly important as it is an opportunity to really get to know her.
This movie may possibly lead to the discussion of sex and this is good. I
m not talking about seduction here, I mean a real and raw discussion about sex, its consequences, and where she really stands with you. It might be good to think about sme possible questions and answers and you get bonus points for having the balls to actually start such a conversation. The most important thing is to be honest.
This is an opportunity to see how much she means to you for better or for worse. How serious is your relationship? If you can't handle a child right now, either cool off or say goodbye because really you're just wasting each others time. If you're not actively having sex, or are willing to knock it off til marriage then it's possible that she could be the one. Why else would you respect her, and her body, so much?
This is the kind of movie and conversation that girls love. Question is, are you man enough to endure?

Yes, The Rosary is Scriptural
It is also completely biblical to ask our Mother to pray for to Jesus Christ just as it is fine for us to seek our own earthly mothers for prayer. "And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come. His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye." (Luke 2:3-5) In the the Old Testament we find a biblical type for this arrangement. "Then Bethsabee came to king Solomon, to speak to him for Adonias: and the king arose to meet her, and bowed to her, and sat down upon his throne: and a throne was set for the king's mother, and she sat on his right hand." (1 Kings 2:19)
All the Rosary is, is a compendium of the Gospel. As such it is very biblical. The Mysteries of the Rosary are as follows:
The Joyful Mysteries
- The Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38)
- The Visitation (Luke 1:39-45)
- The Nativity (Luke 2:7)
- The Presentation of the Lord (Luke 2:25-35)
- The Finding in the Temple (Luke 2:46-51)
The Luminous Mysteries
- The Baptism of the Lord (Matthew 3:13-17)
- The Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11)
- The Proclamation of the Kingdom (Matthew 3:2; John 18:36; John 3:5; Mark 10:15; Mark 2:17; Matthew 5:44; Matthew 5:3; Matthew 5:6; Matthew 5:10; Matthew 16:18-19)
- The Transfiguration (Luke 9:28-36)
- The Institution of the Eucharist (John 6:22-58)
The Sorrowful Mysteries
- The Agony in the Garden (Luke 22:39-46)
- The Scourging at the Pillar (Luke 23:14-15)
- The Crowning with Thorns (Mark 15:16-20)
- The Carrying of the Cross (Luke 23:26-31)
- The Crucifixion (Luke 23:34; Luke 23:43; John 19:26-27; Matthew 27:26; John 19:28;John 19:30; Luke 23:46; John 19:34)
The Glorious Mysteries
- The Resurrection (Matthew 28:1-10; John 20:11-18; Luke 24:13-35)
- The Ascension (Acts 1:6-11)
- The Descent of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-13)
The final two Glorious Mysteries are not taken from Sacred Scripture per se, but come from Sacred Tradition.
- The Assumption assumes that since the Holy Spirit had protected Marry from sin that she was preserved and taken into Heaven fully resurrected -body and soul.
- The Coronation is when Mary is made Queen of Heaven which is based on Revelation 12:1
The Creed
The Apostle's Creed is basically a profession of faith. In the time of the actual original apostles, sacred tradition tells us that the creed was simple, "I believe in God the Father, I believe in the Son of God, I believe in the Holy Spirit." However, as the years went on there came about heresies which required the creed to become more specific so that all would know what those who follow Christ believed (including Christians themselves). The end result was this:
I believe in God (Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 45:5) the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-3; Acts 14:15) And in Jesus Christ (Luke 2:11; John 20:28) His only Son (John 3:16, Proverbs 30:4) our Lord (John 20:28) who was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35) born of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:27) suffered under Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:23-25) was crucified (Mark 15:24) died (1 Corinthians 15:3) and was buried (1 Corinthians 15:4) He descended into Hell (1 Peter 3:19) The third day (1 Corinthians 15:4) He arose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4) He ascended into Heaven (Mark 16:19; Luke 24:51, Acts 1:11) and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty (Mark 16:19; Hebrews 1:3) From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead (2 Timothy 4:1; John 5:22) I believe in the Holy Spirit (John 15:26; 16:7-8, 13-14; Acts 13:2) the Holy Catholic Church (Galatians 3:26-29) the communion of Saints (Revelation 19:14; Hebrews 10:25) the forgiveness of sins (Luke 7:48) the resurrection of the body (1 Thessalonians 4:16; John 6:39) and in life everlasting (John 10:28; John 17:2-3)
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. ( Genesis 1:26; John 1:1; John 8:58; John 10:30; Romans 14:11; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Philippians 2:9-11) As it was in the beginning, it is now and ever shall be (Hebrews 13:8) World without end. (Ephesians 3:21)
Our Father
This is actually quite simple, just read Matthew 6:9-13
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee! Blessed are thou among women! (Matthew 1:28, Douay-Rheims Bible) Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. (Matthew 1:42, Douay-Rheims Bible) Jesus (Matthew 1:21). Holy Mary, Mother of God (Matthew 1:43) Pray for us (Job 42:10) sinners (1 John 1:10) Now and at the hour of our death (2 Maccabees 12:43-46)
After the Rosary comes "Hail, Holy Queen" which having accepted the above you would then accept this prayer of Sacred Tradition.
Hope this clears some things up, God bless you!
What Dreams May Come
Anyways, a few years ago now, I had a vision out of now where, where I saw what could possibly be my future house and spouse. This lad, I still remember vividly, wore a black leather jacket and had dark brown slightly gelled hair, short. Never saw his face, but recall feeling as if I'd known him forever.
Now, about a year ago, the reocurring nightmares stopped. Since then, I've occasionally dreamt about this same fellow. Last night, we talked -in the dream- and I felt what could only be described as love. It was so vivid and real, and I know I saw his face and I know who this guy is, but I forgot the moment my eyes opened.
To be honest, when I was laying there, awake, I couldn't help but say "I love you Jesus." I wasn't even cognisant of what I was saying for maybe a minute. I'm not sure if any of this is even connected, and if I use my head I can pick out elements of like movies and tv shows I've been watching - I can basically explain it all away.
So, dreams be crazy, eh?

Ye Shall Be As God
Anyways, this isn't really a post on the morality of cloning human beings which by the way is quite immoral. It got me thinking about what clones, superheros, superior human beings, A.I. and what, specifically in film, they reveal about ourselves.
"The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the LORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, 'Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?' 'Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,' the woman replied. 'It's only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, "You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die." 'You won't die!' the serpent replied to the woman. 'God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.' The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves." (Genesis 3:1-7)
Ultimately, we find that clones and superior beings and such are brought into being by the hand of knowledge. An arrogance that enough knowledge has been gained to allow for the creation for a perfect person. What traits do these persons have? Usually, they are highly intelligent although not necessarily genius - it is usually significantly above that of the average joe. Super-strength is another common trait which indicates that despite heightened intelligence diplomacy still will never be deployed as a means of conflict resolution. Telekenesis and telepathic abilities are also quite common in these highly evolved persons as well. The knowledge of another persons thoughts is something we all at some point covet, seeing that such an ability would give us an advantage when communicating with persons. But what I find most concerning, is that these superior beings are often "bred" to lack empathy, compassion and even emotion in general.
This last trait, the lack of emotion, is what I find particularly interesting. Often as movies play out, highly emotional situations reveal that these beings often had the ability to emote after all and that this had merely been repressed. Take Nemesis in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse", for example. A mutated human being intended to be the perfect soldier selfishly gave his life for someone he loved in the end. I hypothesize that this parallels our own attempts to repress emotions, particularly negative ones. Often I have heard friends lament about how they wish they could just be numb and feel nothing at all, and I confess that even I have days when this seems a good idea to me, since I realise I could posibly be higher functioning without emotions getting in the way.
I don't think emotions are to blame really, I think it's more about the source of these emotions than the emotions themselves. Perhaps, if we were all emotionless, we would never hurt loved ones. We all make the mistake of saying hurtful things to them when they hurt us, perhaps without emotions such a situation could be avoided altogether. Ultimately, it's about control. That's what knowledge gives us, control. Emotions are like a wild card, and often conflict with knowledge causing a lack, or more often than not, the feeling that one lacks control. These superbeings are often looked upon as being in control since they have greater knowledge and ability. But thankfully, film shows that these too are weak and that knowledge and power only give us the illusion that we are in control. We know nothing. I know nothing. Although, one thing I do know, is that we can never be God.
"Don't put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them." (Psalm 146:3-4)
"The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person." But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man." (1 Corinthians 15:45-49)
"For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the crossso that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls." (1 Peter 2:21-25)

Big Brother 13: Jeff's Homophobic Comments
Those who haven't heard, Jeff got into a heated arguement with Kahlia over Dumbledore being gay. At first, it was okay. Jeff was merely raising doubts about exposing young children to a homosexual figures and Kahlia found nothing wrong with it. However, things went downhill when Jeff essentially implied that all homosexuals are pedophiles.
Let's make something clear here befoe we continue. Questioning the morality or even normalcy of homosexuality is perfectly okay so long as care is taken to ensure that homosexuals are treated with the same dignity that heterosexual person would be treated with. However, equating all homosexuals are being pedophiles is not just untrue, it is vehement hate speech. Jeff's views are wrong but should he punished or censored? No. He has every right to say what he wants to say no matter how untrue and idiotic it is. Do his views reflect the majority? No, not even Roman Catholics would agree with him. His implied statement is sadly something one would expect from the Westboro Baptist Church.
I don't believe in thought crime. I think the courts time and taxpayer money are better spent elsewhere. What Jeff said was wrong, offensive and extremely ignorant but his friends and buddies pointing out he was a dumbass is good enough. I'm glad most media outlets have not run this story because then this behaviour would be rewarded. Few people, maybe 40 people in the world share Jeff's view. Offensive? Yes. Worth getting upset and boycotting CBS and Big Brother over? No.
By the way, although I do believe, being a Roman Catholic, that homosexual attraction is disordered and that living an active homosexual lifestyle is sinful, I have no problem with Dumbdore being gay given that he lived a celebate life which is the appropriate response for someone who is of the homosexual persuasion. The no holds bars witchcraft which is practically glorified in the books and movies is what I take issue with and is why should I have kids I intend to ban Harry Potter.
According to paragraph 2357, 2358, and 2359 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
"Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection."
"Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 16:24
"He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it." Matthew 10:39

Communication FAIL
Once I had gotten the servers attention, I walked over to the cash register to order because it's difficult to communicate over glass without shouting. I said, "#9 Grilled vegtable feta with Blueberry smoothie." This was understood with ease. Then from behind the glass I was asked if I wanted mayo or mustard and whether I wanted it grilled. Because of the glass, both options had to be repeated twice. When it came to paying I held up my debit card instead of saying "debit" since this seems to be easier to understand. I hold up cash when I pay with cash too.
Now, my mom was next to order and I watched the exchange from afar. She attempted to order over the glass. She said, "I'll have a grilled vegetable feta please." The server asked her if she wanted the panini or the club and had to repeat this several times. Exasperated, she held up two fingers and then three fingers and pointed at the signs. Mom gave up and said three. She came back and said she had wanted it grilled. I then asked why she didn't say she wanted the panini. She said she ordered grilled vegetable feta. I responded that several things on the menu had grilled vegetable feta as an option and that she had to be more specifc. She then asked me to list off what items had it as an option, and I did. She then got mad and said that I thought she was wrong about lots of things and that she didn't like it and I was to stop.
The topic was changed and mom brought something up to which I erroneously responded, "I know, the -" I was angrilly interupted and was told that I should let her [mom] speak and don't assume I know what she's going to say. This is true. At the time I thought she was still mad because of the earlier confrontation and it wasn't until driving home that I'd realised that my mistake was that I'd said, "I know." You who have read my earlier blog posts know that "I know" is about the worse thing a person could say. Another crucial thing that I learned upon reflection is that when I said that, I wasn't really listening to mom and I definitely wasn't thinking before I spoke either. Since then, I've been making a conscious effort to listen better and think before I speak.
Don't give up, each day is a chance to start anew!

Only Those Lacking Intelligence Judge
I'm not employed because I'm lazy. I'm not employed because I have little confidence in myself. I have big ideas on how to fix the world and help people and it overwhelms the beginning smaller steps. I convinced myself that I would fail before I even began. I'm doing better now because I've been working, alone, on trying to build myself up. When people think you're lazy, they have a tendency to belittle and tear you down every chance they get, so at times I've felt like the whole world has turned against me. To date, not one person has sat with me to talk about what's really going on, and how they could help me. Looking back, I wish I could take a few job offers I was given in the beginning. I didn't think I could do it then, but today I know that I could have been great. Oh well, no use yearning for the past. Tomorrow is another day, and I'm going to make it.
This is not the only circumstance that people lower their intelligence when they judge. I have a friend who has the hots for a guy. According to gossip, this guy is extremely sexually experienced and my friend is convinced that she well lose her virginity to this guy just because. More often than not, gossip is extremely incorrect. The guy is probably not going to try to seduce her, and I think they might actually be good friends. Guys and gals are capable of being friends after all. It's not like you see in the movies, eveyone doesn't have sex with everyone they know. Most people are not even that sexually promiscuos though a certain number have had sex at least once. A large number of persons both female and, moreso male, are actually virgins both in high school and in college. Those who assume eveyone has sex and that it's expected of you, especially if you are a male, are lacking in intelligence. Of course you can gain intelligence by getting the facts. We have this thing called, "Google search," which from what I hear has the answers to everything.
What I'm saying really is that we shouldn't judge but rather go to the source and get the facts. If you think someone is in a situation - they might be unemployed or fat or doing drugs or having sex- talk with them and find out why and then go study for a bit. Or, go study and then sit down and talk and then revise your studying. Stop assuming, lowering your intellgence and likely making the situation worse.

Fear No More: Darkness and Monsters
Tonight, I can say I have officially conquered two fears: the dark and werewolves. Ever since I can remember, I've had nightmares involving werewolves or rabid dogs trying to eat me. I believe this is probably because when I was really little, I watched, "An American Werwolf in Paris," and because I was little I totally believed the movie was real. I had, had a fear of the dark before that event, but that movie seriously made my fear of the dark all the harder to bare. Come to think of it, that's probably why it's taken me so long to overcome my fear of the dark because the addition of werewolf movies likely exasperated it.
My eventual conquering of such fears got it's start when I gained knowledge of and believed that indeed Satan was real and he sends demons to mess with us. Satan get's pleasure out of scaring us, wouldn't you know? This knowledge of the spiritual world lead the way to understanding how media influences our minds and emotions. This lead to, about a year our two ago, my decision to abstain from all movies containing werewolves and zombies and for a time all creature films and violent movies. This is in turn lead to my becoming re-sensitised, gaining higher awareness and empathy and my stress was reduced greatly. Over time, nightmares became less and less. It was hard, especially since when I made the decision Satan decided to cause various zombie flicks to play on tv, to tempt me. Murphy's Law, I suppose.
I then learned to be calm an assertive - my brother got a dog and so I started watching the Dog Whisperer. I also began delving deeper into the Bible to learn more about character, the mind and emotions and their proper place in my life. In the last month or so, I lifted my ban on werewolf and zombie media. I'm still working on zombies, and at first I had a few setbacks what with experience fear and paranoia after watching something containing a werewolf. I willing exposed myself to such, allowing myself to experience the anxiety and discover that nothing bad happened while doing so. I also read up on werewolf lore to find out what they represent in cultures since most legends actually are ment to teach a lesson or a moral.
I have also been making an effort to watch tv in the dark and avoid turning on lights and encourage myself to walk through the dark house as calmly as possible. And in this last little while I've again been trying to stay calm and assertive in all situations. It's actually allowing me to better control my anger or whenever my pride gets bruised. I can feel myself become more peaceful and gentle although I do have a long way to go.
Tonight, however, it is official - my fears are finally gone. As of late I've been able to walk around in a dark house as if it was day, even after watching a show with werewolves in it, "Teen Wolf". I've been able to turn my back to the door without thinking that something is going to sneak into my room, breathe it's hot sickly breath down my neck, growl and then kill me. Although I still think there is a possibility that werewolves are real, since we mere mortals know little of anything, this fact does not really concern me. If I should die such a way, then I shall die.
May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!
